Stimulator
The IZ2 stimulator is the perfect system for closed loop stimulus control. Signals acquired on TDT’s RZ platform can be used to trigger the stimulator in less than a millisecond. With the IZ2 you can send monophasic and biphasic pulses as well as arbitrary waveforms. Stimuli can be either current or voltage controlled. High quality convertors provide over 80 dB of dynamic range from 30 nAmps to 300 microamps. The long lasting battery pack both powers the device and provides +/- 15 volts for compliance output. You can deliver high current output to 128 channels over the course of a several day experiment.
A proven digital communication system optically isolates the electrical stimulator from the waveform generators to eliminate AC power surges and noise, ensuring superior safety and performance.
A typical system consists of a Stimulator; a Battery Pack and an RZ processor equipped with a specialized DSP (RZ-DSP-I) and additional fiber optic connector on the back panel, creating a complete stimulate and record solution.
