IAn – BioAmp Modules

The iA4, iA16, and iA32 modules are TDT’s premier electrophysiology recording amplifiers made for the iCon platform. Combine these with other iCon modules to make a system perfectly tuned for your specific research needs!

The iAn family of bioamps are designed for a wide range of neurophysiology applications to make it easy for you to implement the specific experimental setup that you want. The iA4 is a four-channel count device made for applications involving low impedance electrodes such as EEG and EMG recordings – perfect for sleep and epilepsy studies. The iA16 and iA32 devices offer researchers channel count options for low or high impedance recording applications that involve any TDT analog headstage – these are a great option when your research requires DC recordings or when there are large stimulus artifacts.

We are certain that you will be impressed with these state-of-the-art amplifiers. Contact us today to discuss how the iAn family of recording modules can help excel your research!

iA16 and iA32

The iA16 and iA32 modules are high quality 16 or 32 channel recording amplifier options designed for single-subject recordings that use TDT analog headstages such as our ZIF-Clip® and Omnetics connectors. Capture neurophysiology signals like EEG, EMG, LFPs, MUAs, or Single-Units up to 50 kHz. The amplifiers have a large input range to handle DC signals and avoid saturation during stim and recording experiments. These amplifiers use the same recording boards as the industry gold standard PZ5 and Subject Interface in our integrated and affordable iCon chassis.

iA16 / iA32 - Synapse Software

Easily configure your amplifier and start recording with a few clicks in our Synapse software.

Synapse provides users with complete control of their real-time recording signals. You can process the data downstream with filters, spike sorting, thresholding, and closed-loop feedback. Synapse’s “all-in-one-place” approach lets you combine simple recording processes with more complicated parallel processing of other signals and hardware to make the exact experiment you need for your research.

iA4

The iA4 is a precision four-channel electrophysiology amplifier iCon module designed for low-impedance neurophysiology recordings such as EEGs, EMGs, EKGs, and evoked potentials. The iA4 uses our incredible 24-bit high-fidelity PZ amplifier digitization circuitry in a true differential setup to provide the lowest noise continuously powered recordings possible. The touch proof connectors on the front panel provide a simplified connection to standard commutators and head caps for an easy out-of-the-box setup for freely-behaving subjects. This amplifier is perfect for your sleep studies, epilepsy research, ABRs, or freely behaving recordings.

iA4 - precision four-channel electrophysiology amplifier for low-impedance neurophysiology recordings such as EEGs, EMGs, EKGs, and evoked potentials. The iA4 is part of TDT's iCon Behavioral Research System

Research Uses

  • Sleep Studies
  • Epilepsy Research
  • Continuous Freely Behaving Recordings
  • ABR’s
  • EMG
  • Evoked Potential Response

Features

  • Continuously record with isolated wall power
  • Large input range of +/- 12.5 mVolts to minimize signal saturation during seizures
  • User-selectable sample rate up to 50 kHz
