IV2 and IV1 Video Capture Interfaces

TDT offers two advanced Video Capture Interfaces designed specifically for behavioral neuroscience research.

The iV2 and iV1 offer high frame-rates and resolution to enable real-time and offline capture for scoring behaviors with precision, Infrared capability, and much more.  Plus, you can record video frames synchronized with behavioral, electrophysiology, fiber photometry, and other research data to build or expand your experiments.

IV2 Video Capture Interface

For more advanced research needs, our IV2 Interface utilizes dual cameras and provides a host of powerful features for real-time, automated tracking. The IV2 is designed for studies that require in-depth tracking and behavioral analysis, offering:

  • Camera and Lens:  Basler a2A1920-160ucBAS color camera with 50mm lens
    • Black & White camera optional
  • Custom 2-meter USB-C cable to power, control triggering, and stream data to your IV2 module

IV1 Video Capture Interface

Our IV1 Interface is an ideal solution for simpler experimentation setups, making it easy to capture and score behaviors with precision. Equipped with a single camera, the IV1 offers:

  • Optimal performance for offline behavior scoring
  • Easy integration with TDT’s Synapse software, providing a significant upgrade over standard webcams integration
  • Video frame export to MATLAB for custom algorithm integration
  • Typically used for single-subject tracking
