iX6 – Fiber Photometry Module

Adding Fiber Photometry to behavioral experimentation has never been easier with TDT’s iX6 module. TDT’s Fiber Photometry and Behavioral Systems are out-of-the-box solutions designed for ease-of-use and flexibility. Using our Synapse software, you’ll experience a seamless interface to fully control experimentation while capturing Fiber Photometry data along with all other behavioral experiment data, time-locked and synchronized.

The iX6 Optical Interface brings Fiber Photometry to your iCon or iConZ behavioral research system.

It has 3 driver ports to power and control either our LUX LED pods or M8 pods to control external devices.

The module also has 3 sensor ports for integrated photosensors, power meters, and BNC pods for external sensors.

Customize your configuration of LED and sensor pods to fit your fiber photometry and optogenetic experiment. Combine fiber photometry and electrophysiology with an iX6 module in your iConZ, iCon with RZ2 and RZ5D, or use multiple iX6 + iConZ configurations with the iPac to run up to eight animals at once for high throughput screening.

  • Drive integrated and external LEDs connected through an M8 pod with 3 driver ports
  • Run currents from 0-200 mA through each port
  • Process signals from up to 2 LxPS2 photosensors or external detectors and an integrated power meter with 3 sensor ports
  • Record both GCaMP with isosbestic and RCaMP signals simultaneously
  • Filter signals from one or two biosensors with the LxM4 and LxM6 optical manifolds for a completely integrated and customizable system
  • Set up your LED parameters and use real-time control of your LEDs during optogenetic and fiber photometry experiments with our Synapse software
  • Synchronize fiber photometry signals with behavioral paradigms for simplified analysis
  • Calculate your dF/F signal at runtime for immediate feedback of the quality of your recording signal
