ACO Motorized Commutators
Our 32 and 64 channel active commutators (ACO) prevent twisting or binding of the headstage cable while reliably tracking rotation on the headstage cable. Its motor detects when the cable twists and automatically compensates, eliminating turn-induced torque at the subject’s end of the cable. Sensors continuously measure small changes in animal position and control the motor and commutator position. The ACO32 and ACO64 models provide electrical commutation and feature a bore in the center for use in optogenetic stimulation.
