ES1/EC1 speaker output is 30-60 dB lower than the specifications

Issue

If ES1/EC1 speakers are driven using some ED1s with serial numbers less than 2000, the output is 30-60 dB lower than the specifications. This issue is seen because the ED1 driver does not properly power the device.

Solution

The ED1 has been redesigned to ensure that it will generate the proper signal output. If you experience this problem, contact TDT for repair or replacement ED1 (with PSP).
